About The Jet Lag Plan

A small site about arriving well after a long flight, written for travelers over 50 who fly far and would rather plan than guess.

Why this site exists

Most long-haul advice is written for people in their twenties with no medicines to take and no hips to worry about. The practical questions are different when you are over 50: how to time doses across five time zones, how to sleep in a room you do not know, how to keep your legs comfortable for eleven hours, and how to be functional the next morning.

So the tools come first. Four of them, free, with no login, and nothing stored. Products come second, and only where a product clearly changes the outcome.

How we research

Anything health-adjacent is built from public sources and cited on the page: the CDC Yellow Book, the NHS, the Mayo Clinic, and published sleep research. We do not invent statistics, and when the evidence for something popular is weak (magnesium for sleep, blue-light glasses for eye strain) we say so rather than selling around it.

What we will never do

  • Give medical advice, name a dose, or say a product treats a condition.
  • Store what you type into the tools, including medication names and dose times.
  • Recommend something we would not use, or hide what it does badly.
  • Call you a senior.

How we make money

Two ways: affiliate commission on some product links, and the newsletter. Commission never changes a recommendation or softens a downside. The full detail is in our disclosures.
